Description
White velvet accents sit against black on design 561, worked as clean blocks with no embroidery involved. The lighter panels lift the whole bag and give it a formality that a plain black bag does not have, without adding any thread that could catch or fray.
Three sizes are made: 10.5 by 10 inches in the bar mitzvah cut, 14 by 14 as a large talis bag and 16 by 16 extra large. Black and white is bought year round, but it is bought hardest before the Yomim Noraim, when a man wants the bag to sit properly with a white kittel. The 16-inch is the size to take if the tallis is a heavy one.
Matzah covers are made in design 561 as well, which keeps the black and white treatment going through to Pesach.
