Description
Design 591 takes the layout of 590 and swaps the black crushed velvet for white. The panelling is the same but the effect is entirely different — a bright contrast where 590 keeps everything in one tone, and a bag that reads from across a room instead of only up close.
Sizes are the 10.5 by 10 inch bar mitzvah bag, the 14 by 14 large talis bag and the 16 by 16 extra large. The brightness is why this one is bought so often as a bar mitzvah gift: at 10.5 by 10 it is the tefillin size a boy needs, and it does not look like a plain bag handed over at a simcha. White crushed velvet does want reasonable care in daily use.
It also sits well with a white kittel through the Yomim Noraim, which is the other time of year these move.
