Description
Design 630 opens the 600 range and works the same black-on-black idea as the 500s but in noticeably wider bands. Smooth black velvet is blocked against black crushed velvet in broad sections rather than narrow ones, so the two textures each get enough surface to be read properly.
It comes in the bar mitzvah size at 10.5 by 10 inches, the large talis bag at 14 by 14 and the extra large at 16 by 16. Wide banding suits the larger sizes especially — at 16 by 16 there is enough face for the bands to look intentional rather than crowded. For a boy receiving tefillin, the smallest size is the one to order.
Design 630 has one of the widest matching ranges here: challah boards, challah covers, Haggadah covers and matzah covers are all made in it. A family can build most of a Yom Tov table around the same design as the bag the father carries.
