Description
A wide band of white velvet crosses the black on design 631. It is a single strong division rather than a scattering of panels, and that simplicity is why it works — the bag is instantly identifiable on a bench full of black bags, without any embroidery on it at all.
Three sizes are made: 10.5 by 10 inches in the bar mitzvah cut, 14 by 14 as a large talis bag and 16 by 16 extra large. Being able to pick your own bag out of a rack quickly matters more than people admit, particularly in a large shul on Shabbos morning. The 14-inch takes a standard tallis; the 16-inch takes a heavy one with room left.
Challah covers and matzah covers are made in design 631, so the white band can carry across to the table for Shabbos and for Pesach.
