Description
Design 635 keeps to black throughout, faux leather laid over velvet so the smooth panels and the napped ones share the same colour. Scuffs and fingerprints stay out of sight on a bag built this way, which is a good deal of why all-black bags outsell everything else here.
It is offered in the bar mitzvah size at 10.5 by 10 inches, the large talis bag at 14 by 14 and the extra large at 16 by 16. For a bochur carrying tefillin to yeshiva daily, an all-black leather-and-velvet bag is about as forgiving as this category gets. For a man with a full wool tallis, the 16-inch is the size that will not have to be replaced later.
It is the plainest of the leather designs in the 600s, and the one to take if 634 is more than you want.
