Description
Design 713 carries the 710 motif with a denser gold fill worked over the black velvet. Same shape, more thread — the panel is packed rather than outlined, and the extra weight of stitching makes it sit higher off the nap and hold light more strongly across the face.
Three sizes are made: 10.5 by 10 inches, 14 by 14 and 16 by 16. This is the sort of bag bought once and used every day for years, and the density of the embroidery is part of that — heavily filled thread work keeps its outline as a bag softens, where fine outlining can blur. For tefillin alone the bar mitzvah size is correct.
If you have looked at 710 and wanted more gold on the face, this is the same design answered properly rather than a different one.
