Malchut embroiders design 825 in gold on a black velvet bag built to carry tallis and tefillin together rather than one or the other. The stitching covers the face with a settled, traditional pattern, and on velvet it holds its shape through the daily handling this kind of bag gets.
Three sizes are made. The bar mitzvah bag at 10.5 by 10 is for a bochur; the 14 by 14 large talis bag is the size that suits a man with a standard wool tallis, with the tefillin sitting alongside it; and the 16 by 16 extra large is the order for a big tallis. If two people will use the bag over its life, buy the larger of the two you are considering.
