Description
Classic gold-on-black velvet embroidery, catalogued as design 827. There is nothing experimental about it, and that is the appeal. The pattern is the sort that has been carried into shul for generations, the velvet is deep, and the gold thread gives the bag its weight on the bench without turning it into a showpiece.
It is offered at 10.5 by 10 for bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 as a large talis bag and 16 by 16 as an extra large. The bar mitzvah size is the right one for a boy who has just received his tefillin.
