Black velvet with Malchut's gold embroidered 830 design. The thread work sits across the front panel with a steady rhythm rather than a single focal motif, so the bag looks even from any angle and does not depend on being set down face up to be appreciated. Ordered as a bar mitzvah bag it measures 10.5 by 10, as a large talis bag 14 by 14, and as an extra large 16 by 16. The practical question is what goes inside on a normal weekday: tefillin only, or tefillin and a tallis. For the first, the smallest size is more than enough; for the second, most men need the 14 by 14, and a large wool tallis pushes you to the 16.
