Silver embroidery cools the black velvet of design 850. The thread is bright but the pattern is not busy, so the bag looks composed rather than decorated, and it is a good answer for anyone who finds the gold designs too warm for their taste.
Order it in 10.5 by 10, 14 by 14 or 16 by 16. The smallest is the bar mitzvah bag, sized for a boy and his first tefillin. The 14 by 14 is the standard adult talis bag. The 16 by 16 gives a growing tallis somewhere to go, which matters when a bag bought at thirteen is still expected to serve after marriage, when the tallis gets considerably bigger.
The 850 number extends past the bag itself: Malchut makes a matzah cover and a haggadah cover in the same design, so a family that likes the pattern can bring it to the seder table as well. It is one of the few ways to get a genuinely coordinated set without commissioning anything.
