Description
Two velvets share this bag. Design 877 joins black and grey velvet on the same face and runs gold embroidery over the join, so the panel has real contrast in the material itself before any thread is added. It is a more modern-looking bag than the single-colour designs, and it stands out on a shelf full of black ones without breaking any convention.
Sizes are 10.5 by 10 for bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 for a talis bag and 16 by 16 for extra large. On a two-tone design the larger sizes give both velvets more room to show, which is worth a thought if you are choosing between the 14 and the 16 without a strict fit requirement.
