Grey embroidery is what sets #974 apart. Rather than the expected metallic, Malchut works the design in a soft grey thread on black velvet, so the pattern shows as tone and texture instead of shine. From a step away it reads almost as a raised relief in the same colour family as the ground, which is a very different effect from the gold-on-black bags sitting next to it.
