Description
Design #976 lays gold embroidery across black velvet with a fuller sweep than the tighter corner designs in the same series. The gold covers more of the face of the bag, so the velvet becomes a backdrop rather than the main event. It is a dressed look, meant to be seen, and it photographs well when the bag is sitting on the shtender at a bar mitzvah.
The bar mitzvah bag measures 10.5 x 10 and is sized for tefillin and the smaller load a boy carries. The large talis bag at 14 x 14 is the everyday adult size. The extra large 16 x 16 is worth taking if the tallis is a heavy full-size wool one, or if a siddur travels in the bag along with everything else.
