Velvet Tallis & Tefillin Bag with White Bottom Swirl Embroidery, Design #495

White embroidery draws the #495 swirl across the base of a velvet bag. White thread on velvet is a sharper contrast than gold or silver — it does not glint, it simply states the line — and it gives this version a cleaner, more contemporary look than the metallic bags in the same design family. The swirl runs low, leaving the upper panel of the bag plain.

It is made in four sizes: a single tefillin bag at 8.5 x 9.5 without stones, a bar mitzvah bag at 10 x 10.5, a large talis bag at 14 x 14, and an extra large at 16 x 16. A bochur takes the bar mitzvah size; a man with a full tallis takes 14 x 14 unless his tallis is one of the heavier wool ones, in which case the 16 x 16 saves him the folding.

Design #495 is also produced as a siddur cover, so the white swirl can be carried on both pieces if you want the set to match.
