It sits closer to the colour of aged parchment and wooden rollers than black does, and it does not look stark beside a leather-bound siddur on the same shelf. Design 1025, soft-sided, closing around the megillah rather than housing it in a rigid shell.

The large runs 18 by 6 inches and the small 15 by 6 inches, and the difference is real: a full-length klaf will not go into the smaller cut. If you are buying for someone else's megillah and cannot measure it, take the 18 inch, since a shorter scroll sits fine in the larger pouch and the reverse does not work.
