Megillah Case, Small Crown Scroll Black Faux Leather and Fur #1040

The small crown scroll is the 1040 design brought down in scale, in black PU leather with black fur. Everything about the finish matches the full-size case — smooth leather, fur breaking it, both in black so the case reads as a single dark object — but the proportions are built for a scroll nowhere near full length.

Two sizes only: 11 inches and 7 inches. This is the case for a small megillah, the kind kept for travel or bought for a child, and it is sold without a handle. On a case this short a handle would be more nuisance than help, since an 11 inch tube goes into a coat pocket or a bag and needs nothing hanging off it.

1040 is made as a tallis and tefillin bag as well, so a boy with a small megillah can have the case and the bag in one design. It is a common route for a family that starts a set early and fills it in later.
