Description
Two leathers on the same body — black and grey, worked together on the upscale scroll rather than one trimming the other. Because both are leather, the contrast is in tone and not in texture, which gives this version of 1295 a more tailored look than the fur-finished one.
It comes in a 17.7 inch and a 14 inch body. The long one is the standard order for a full-length klaf, and the 14 inch is the choice for a shorter scroll. The personalized snap-on handle is included with both sizes and detaches from the body, so the case can go down flat for the reading and be carried home by the handle.
Grey and black is also the easier of the two 1295 finishes to keep. There is no pile to crush or brush, so the case can go into a closet after Purim and come out the following year looking the way it went in, which matters on a piece meant to last.
