Description
Same squared body as the gold version, but the detail here is white against black leather, which is a colder and more graphic look. On a case with flat faces and defined corners the white lines have somewhere to sit, and the result is closer to a modern attaché than to a traditional scroll tube.
It is cut at 17.7 inches and 14 inches. Order by the megillah — a full klaf takes the long case and a short scroll is better held in the 14. The personalized snap-on handle is included and comes off, and the squared body means the case stands where you put it rather than rolling off a bench.
A tallis and tefillin bag is made in 1240 too. Black and white carries across two pieces better than most colour pairings do, since it does not have to match a shade exactly to look deliberate.
