Description
The upscale scroll is the dressiest body in the megillah range, and 1295 in black leather with black fur is its most restrained finish. The fur is set against the leather and both are black, so the case does not shout; what it does is look considered from across a room and then hold up when someone picks it up.
Lengths are 17.7 inches and 14 inches. A full megillah needs the long case, and a compact scroll sits better in the shorter one. The personalized snap-on handle comes with either, and it clips off, which on a case of this build is what makes the difference between carrying it and hauling it.
1295 is made as a tallis and tefillin bag as well. This is one of the designs where buying the pair is the usual thing rather than the exception, since a man who has chosen the upscale body for one piece rarely wants a plainer one for the other.
