Velvet Tefillin & Tallis Bag, Wheat Branch Corner Embroidery #121

Wheat branches curve through the corner of this bag, and the word Tefilin is embroidered within the design itself rather than sitting above it as a label. The wheat motif is one of the older ones in the Malchut range and it reads as agricultural and calm — sheaves and stems rather than crowns and arches.

Velvet comes in black or navy across every size, with maroon, hunter green and royal blue made in the matching tefillin bag size only; the royal blue is done in silver embroidery. Sizes run from the matching tefillin bag at 8.5 x 9.5, through the bar mitzvah 9.5 x 9.5 and the medium talis bag at 12.5 x 11.5, up to the large 14 x 14 and the extra large 16 x 16.

Embroidery is ordered either primarily gold with some silver or primarily silver with some gold. Because the word Tefilin is stitched into the design, this one is most often bought as the tefillin bag itself, with a larger talis bag added in the same pattern.
