Description
Two-tone and calm is the character of custom #1025. The two styles are grey with grey — a tone-on-tone bag where the interest comes from the change in surface rather than colour — and blue with grey, which introduces a cool contrast without going anywhere near the usual black. Neither option relies on fur or pattern.
The three sizes are bar mitzvah 10.5 x 10, large talis bag 14 x 14, and extra large 16 x 16. The smallest suits a bochur carrying tefillin; the 14 x 14 is the working size for a man with tallis and tefillin together; the 16 x 16 gives room for a heavy wool tallis and anything else that travels with it.
Design #1025 is also carried on a megillah case and a shofar bag, which makes it one of the more useful numbers to build around. A man who reads on Rosh Hashanah or Purim can have all three pieces matching, and they are the kind of thing that gets handed down.
