Description
Custom #1043 pairs restrained styling with dense embroidery — the stitching is heavy, but the design does not sprawl across the panel to prove it. That combination is what a lot of men are actually looking for: real workmanship on a bag that does not draw attention to itself in a shul full of quiet velvet.
Three sizes are made. Bar mitzvah 10.5 x 10 is the bochur's size, cut for tefillin. Large talis bag 14 x 14 is the adult standard, holding a full tallis with tefillin. Extra large 16 x 16 is the size for a heavy wool tallis, or for a man who carries a siddur along with everything else and does not want to choose.
The same design is produced as a siddur cover. Matching the bag to the siddur is the easiest set to complete, since both pieces travel together every morning and there is no third item required to make it look intentional.
