Eight finishes, which is unusual even for Malchut. #1250 can be had as black with fur or with speckled fur, grey with grey, brown with brown, double black with black, or black leather with black fur. Two of the options come without the crown, for a man who wants the design but not the motif, and that is a genuinely useful choice that most makers do not offer. The speckled fur versions have the most movement in them; the grey-on-grey and brown-on-brown are the calmest.

All eight are cut in the same three sizes: 10.5" x 10" bar mitzvah, 14" x 14" large talis, and 16" x 16" extra large. Decide the size on the tallis and the finish on taste. A bochur is fine in the smallest; a grown man with a woolen tallis should be in one of the two larger cuts.
