Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Leather with Fur or Velvet Center, Design #1265

Thirteen finishes is more than most makers offer on any single design, and 1265 is where Malchut shows off. Leather with matching fur runs through black, light grey, brown, grey and white, including black leather with black-and-white fur and light grey with light blue fur. Black leather with black velvet swaps the fur for a smooth centre. Black velvet with blue embroidery inverts the whole thing, putting the velvet on the outside. There is even a signature version of the black-and-white fur treatment.

All of them are cut as a bar mitzvah bag at 10.5" x 10", a large talis bag at 14" x 14", or an extra large at 16" x 16". The size follows the tallis, not the finish: a bochur takes the smallest, a man with a full woolen tallis takes one of the larger two.

Malchut also makes this design as a megillah case and as a siddur cover. With this many finishes on the bag itself, matching the other pieces is easiest done in one order rather than remembering the exact combination a year later.
