Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Grey Fur or Black Velvet on Leather, Design #1270

Two quite different bags share design number 1270. The first is black leather with grey fur, the fur softening a formal black body. The second is grey leather with black velvet, which replaces the fur with a smooth dark centre and gives a more tailored, less textured look. Both are built on Malchut's mid-weight body, which is where the price sits too, below the heaviest numbers in the line but well above the plain ones.

The bag is cut as a bar mitzvah size at 10.5" x 10", a large talis bag at 14" x 14", or an extra large at 16" x 16". The smallest is scaled for a bochur; the middle size covers most men; the largest is for a full tallis and for anyone who prefers room over a tight fit.

A matching siddur cover is made in the same design, and the velvet version in particular pairs well with it, since velvet on velvet across two pieces looks deliberate in a way that mixed materials rarely do.
