Description
An embroidered centre panel defines 1357, with the surrounding material left clear so the worked area reads as a deliberate block rather than as decoration spread thinly over the whole face. It is a mid-range bag on price and a mid-weight one in the hand, which is a combination that suits most buyers better than either extreme of the line.
The design is cut for three different people. The bar mitzvah bag, 10.5" x 10", is for a bochur with his first pair of tefillin and a light tallis. The large talis bag, 14" x 14", is for a man with a standard woolen tallis. The extra large, 16" x 16", is for a man with a big tallis, or one who carries a siddur in the same bag and wants everything to fit without pressure.
A centre-panel design like this is also the easiest to live with if the bag is going to be handled roughly. The worked area sits away from the corners and the edges, which are the first places any bag shows wear.
