Description
The embroidered front on 1370 is worked densely enough that it keeps its shape rather than rippling, which is what usually goes wrong on a bag after a few years of daily use. Malchut prices it in the middle of the range, and the money is in the stitch density and the body underneath. Nothing on the face is printed or applied, so there is nothing to peel at the corners.
It is made as a bar mitzvah bag at 10.5" x 10", a large talis bag at 14" x 14", and an extra large at 16" x 16". Bochurim take the smallest, men with a standard woolen tallis take the middle, and the extra large exists for the tallis that will not go into anything else without a fight. Measuring the tallis folded settles the question in seconds.
A matching megillah case is made in this design, which is worth adding for anyone who leins for his own family or carries his own megillah to shul rather than borrowing one.
