Description
#2006 is one of the heavier-bodied bags in the 2000 series, with embroidery carried across the full front rather than confined to a centre panel. The body has enough substance that the bag holds its shape standing up, which matters more than it sounds when it lives on a shelf in the beis medrash next to twenty others.
It is made in the three Malchut cuts: 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah bochur, 14 by 14 for a standard adult tallis, and 16 by 16 for a large or heavy one. Take the measurement from the folded tallis, add room for the tefillin, and order to that rather than to what the last bag was.
The same design number is also made as a gartel bag, so the small bag he keeps his gartel in can match the one it sits inside. Ordering the pair together is the simplest way to get an exact match, since the embroidery is worked to the design and not to a general colourway.
