Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Black or Black and White Fur, Design #2016

A fur-faced bag without the rest of the 2000 series' weight. Design #2016 comes in solid black fur or black and white, and that is the whole decision. Solid black is understated and does not read as a fur bag from across a room. The black and white shows the fur for what it is, with the lighter hairs breaking up the surface.

All three Malchut sizes apply: 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah bag, 14 by 14 for the large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. This is a common bar mitzvah choice because the fur gives a boy something that feels like a serious bag without a heavily worked face he may not want at twenty-five.

The same design number is also available as a gartel bag. Ordering the two together gives a matched set for very little extra effort, and the small bag is the sort of thing that goes missing far less often when it looks like it belongs with the big one.
