Description
Floral-embossed leather panels set into plain leather give #2022 its texture, and there is no fur or velvet involved anywhere. The pattern is pressed into the hide, so it sits at the same level as the rest of the bag and does not catch. Take it in black leather with black floral panels, or navy leather with navy floral panels.
Both versions are made in the standard three sizes: 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 for the large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. Because the tone-on-tone embossing shows by texture rather than colour, it holds up on the bigger cuts where a coloured pattern would start to look busy.
Navy is the less common of the two and worth considering if the bag is meant to be distinguishable in a room full of black ones. Black is the safer choice for a bochur who will carry it daily and does not want to be the one with the unusual bag.
