Description
Two sober treatments on the same body. Black and grey leather panels give #2029 a two-tone face built entirely from hide, with the grey lifting the design without introducing colour. Black leather with black velvet keeps everything in one tone and relies on the difference between matte velvet and finished leather to give the front any definition at all.
The bag is cut at 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 for a standard talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. Neither style adds bulk to the face, so the internal capacity is straightforward and the size can be chosen off the folded tallis without allowance.
This is an everyday bag, and it is built to be treated like one. Nothing on it needs protecting from a coat sleeve, a shtender or the back of a bench, which is more than can be said for the fur and crushed velvet designs in the same series.
