Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Black Leather with Velvet or Fur, Design #2048

Two finishes on a black leather body. Black velvet gives a flat, light-absorbing panel that keeps the whole bag in one register. Black and white fur puts movement and contrast on the same front. Design #2048 is otherwise identical in either build, so the choice is entirely about how much the bag should show from a distance.

It is made at 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah bochur, 14 by 14 for the large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. The velvet version keeps the face flat, so capacity follows the dimensions. The fur version takes back a small amount at the front, which matters only if the tefillin travel in their own cases.

The same design number is also made as a siddur cover, so the siddur that travels in the bag can be bound to match it. Ordering both at once is the only reliable way to get the pair to agree, since the finishes are made to the design rather than to a standing colour range.
