Description
Fine embroidery worked across the front of a custom-ordered bag. The stitching on #2052 is dense in detail rather than in coverage, so the ground still shows and the pattern reads as drawn line rather than as a solid worked field. It is a quieter design than several of its neighbours in the same numbering.
Order it as a bar mitzvah bag at 10.5 by 10 inches, a large talis bag at 14 by 14, or an extra large at 16 by 16. Because each is made up after the order rather than taken from a run, the layout suits the panel and the bag arrives in the proportion you asked for.
That does mean planning ahead. A bag being made for a bar mitzvah or for a chosson should be ordered with enough lead time that the date is not the thing determining the size or the design. Decide by the tallis and by the man, then order.
