Description
Black leather is the body of #2055 and the second material decides the character. Velvet gives a flat, light-absorbing panel that keeps everything in one register. Black and white fur does the opposite, breaking the surface and putting movement on the front of an otherwise plain bag. Two options, no embroidery, no crystals.
It is cut at 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah bochur, 14 by 14 for the large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. The velvet version adds nothing to the thickness of the face; the fur version adds a little, so allow for it if the tefillin sit in their own cases inside.
The same design number is also made as a siddur cover. A man who wants his siddur to match the bag it travels in can order both in #2055 and have them come out of the same design rather than approximating a match from two separate purchases.
