Both faces of #3018 are embroidered, front and back. That is a real distinction in a category where the reverse is usually left plain, and it shows every time the bag is set down on a shtender with its back to the room or laid flat on a bench during krias haTorah.
It is made at 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah bag, 14 by 14 for a large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. Since both sides carry work, the larger cuts represent substantially more embroidery than the smallest, and the difference between the 10.5 and the 16 is more pronounced here than on a single-sided design.
For a man who davens in the same place every day and always sets the bag down the same way, a finished back is the detail he sees more often than the front.
