Embroidered Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Talis 14x14 and XL Sizes #5014

The embroidery on #5014 is the design — worked to order by Malchut Judaica, without fur or contrast leather anywhere in the build. That keeps the bag lighter than the fur-trimmed pieces in the range and makes it a straightforward thing to carry every day.

There are three sizes. The bar mitzvah bag at 10.5 by 10 inches is for a boy laying tefillin and not yet wearing a full tallis. The large talis bag at 14 by 14 is the adult standard and holds a folded tallis with both tefillin. The extra large at 16 by 16 is the one to order when the tallis is heavy wool, when the tefillin are a bigger set, or when a tallis katan travels in the same bag.

For a man buying his own bag after years with something worn out, the 14 by 14 is usually the right answer and the 16 by 16 is the upgrade people regret not taking. Both are produced to the same specification; only the dimensions change.
