Description
Black leather forms the body of #5017 and the fur panel decides its temperature. Plain black fur keeps everything in one tone, so the bag reads as texture only. Black and white fur brings light through the panel in streaks and is the most visible of the three. Grey fur is the middle option, softer than the two-tone and less severe than the all-black, and it is the one that suits a man who wants the bag noticed only slightly.
The bag is produced in three sizes: 10.5 by 10 inches for bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 for a large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. The 14 by 14 is the working adult size. The 16 by 16 is what you order for a full wool tallis, or if the tefillin are a larger set and you would rather they sat separately.
Fur-trimmed bags like this carry well on Shabbos and Yom Tov, and the black-on-black version is restrained enough to use every weekday too.
