Fur-Trimmed Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Black-White or White (Design #6030)

Design #6030 is a fur bag, and the two options change its character completely. Black and white fur gives the bag depth and movement, with the pale hairs breaking through the dark across the surface. All-white fur is the striking one — a pale, soft-textured bag that is unmistakable on a bench and is almost always bought on purpose rather than as a default.

It is made in bar mitzvah size at 10.5 by 10 inches, in the 14 by 14 large talis size, and in the 16 by 16 extra large. The middle size is what most men carry with a folded tallis and both tefillin inside. The largest is for a full wool tallis, where the extra couple of inches is the difference between packing and simply placing.

The white version has become a common choice for a chosson or for Yom Tov, kept alongside a plainer bag for weekdays. Fur gives warmth to a bag in a way no embroidery can, which is the whole reason this construction exists.
