Design #6060 pairs restrained embroidery with a roomy body. The stitching is deliberately held back — a defined pattern rather than full coverage — while the bag itself is generously cut, which is a combination that suits men who care more about how much goes in than about how much shows on the outside. No fur or contrast leather is involved.
Sizes are 10.5 by 10 inches for bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 for the large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. Given how this design is built, the 16 by 16 is worth serious thought: a full wool tallis, both tefillin and a tallis katan all fit without any arranging, and the bag still closes easily.
For a bar mitzvah bochur the 10.5 by 10 is the natural size now, though families who expect him in a full tallis within a few years often order the 14 by 14 from the start and hand him a bag he will not replace.
