Description
A textured front panel is what gives #7030 its character. The surface work sits across the face of the bag and does the job that embroidery does elsewhere in the Malchut catalogue — the design is felt as much as seen, and it holds up better than printed or applied decoration on a bag that gets carried every day.
Three cuts are available from the same design. The bar mitzvah bag (BMX) runs 10.5 x 10 and is the proportion to buy for a boy receiving tefillin; a full-size tallis will not go in it comfortably, which is the point. The 14 x 14 large talis bag is the standard adult size. The 16 x 16 extra large is for men with a heavy tallis, or for anyone who wants the tefillin, the tallis and a siddur in one bag.
Malchut produces #7030 to order, so the texture arrives unhandled and the corners are still square. Keep the number for reference if you expect to buy again.
