Velvet Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Black with Grey or Grey Fur (Design #V1013)

#V1013 comes from Malchut's custom velvet collection, and it can be taken two ways. The first is black and grey velvet — two tones against each other, with the embroidery running over both. The second swaps the grey velvet for a grey fur panel, which changes the front from smooth to textured while keeping the same colour scheme. Same design number, two very different bags.

The size choice is separate from the style choice. The 10.5 x 10 bar mitzvah bag is the boy's size; the 14 x 14 large talis bag is standard for a man with a regular tallis; the 16 x 16 extra large suits a full wool tallis. Velvet is softer in the hand than leather and takes the shape of what is inside it, so the larger cuts are worth having if the tallis is bulky.

Grey and black is a quieter combination than the gold-thread designs, which makes #V1013 a good weekday bag as well as a Shabbos one.
