Description
Two versions of #V1043. All black velvet is the straightforward one — a single material, with the embroidery worked in thread over deep pile so the design shows through tone and texture rather than colour. The second version drops a white velvet inlay into the face, which lifts the design sharply and turns a quiet bag into a two-tone one.
Both versions are available in the full size range: 10.5 x 10 for the bar mitzvah bag, 14 x 14 for the large talis bag, and 16 x 16 for the extra large. A bochur receiving tefillin is best served by the smallest; a man wearing a full tallis by the 14 x 14; and the 16 x 16 is there for heavy talleisim and for men who carry a siddur along.
The white inlay is the more formal of the two and is often chosen for a chosson. All black is the safer everyday bag and hides handling better over a long stretch of years.
