#V1210 opens Malchut's V1200 run of velvet bags. The embroidery is worked on majestic velvet in the collection's usual manner, and the design belongs to a numbered group rather than standing alone — useful if you like knowing where a bag sits in the maker's own catalogue rather than just what it looks like.
Three cuts are available. The 10.5 x 10 bar mitzvah bag is the one to buy for a bochur beginning to lay tefillin. The 14 x 14 large talis bag is the adult standard and holds a regular tallis with the tefillin. The 16 x 16 extra large is worth the difference if the tallis is heavy wool, or if the bag also carries a siddur through the week.
The V1200 numbers share a family resemblance without repeating each other, so if this face is close to what you want but not quite it, the neighbouring numbers are worth a look.
