Description
#V2006 sits among the richer bags in the V2000 group. The stitch coverage across the front is heavier than the standard velvet numbers — more thread, less exposed pile, and a face that has some rigidity to it as a result. The extra work is what accounts for the step up in price over the base velvet designs.
Cut in the three Malchut sizes. The 10.5 x 10 bar mitzvah bag is for a bochur with a first set of tefillin; the 14 x 14 large talis bag is the everyday adult size; the 16 x 16 extra large is for a heavy tallis or a bag that carries more than the basics. The embroidery is scaled to each cut rather than cropped from one master layout.
Bags at this weight of work are usually kept for Shabbos and Yom Tov, with a plainer one carried through the week.
