Description
#V2014 can be taken in all black velvet or in black with white velvet. All black is the discreet version — the design shows through thread and texture only. The black and white pairing is a hard contrast, and on a bar mitzvah bag in particular it gives a boy something that clearly looks new rather than inherited.
Sizes run 10.5 x 10 for the bar mitzvah bag, 14 x 14 for the large talis bag and 16 x 16 for the extra large. The contrast version gains from the larger cuts, where there is more white to see; on the smallest bag the two velvets sit closer together and the effect is tighter.
White velvet does need more care than black over a long time, so it is worth thinking about how the bag will be carried before choosing between the two.
