Description
#V2048 keeps a black velvet body and gives you two ways to break it up. A black and white fur panel brings a strong texture change and a visible colour contrast to the face. Black crushed velvet does something quieter — same colour family, different surface, with the crushed pile catching light where the flat velvet stays even.
The size range is unaffected by the choice: 10.5 x 10 bar mitzvah, 14 x 14 large talis, 16 x 16 extra large. The fur option carries a premium and reads as the dressier of the two; the crushed velvet is the one to take for a bag that will be carried through the week as well as on Shabbos.
Fur on a bar mitzvah bag is a family decision as much as a design one. Plenty of bochurim get one; plenty of others are better suited by the crushed velvet.
