Description
#V3008 carries heavier embroidery than the standard custom velvet numbers. More thread on the face means more depth to the design and a firmer front panel, and it is the reason this number starts above the base velvet price. The velvet underneath is the same deep pile used across the collection.
It is cut for bar mitzvah at 10.5 x 10, for a standard tallis at 14 x 14, and at 16 x 16 for the heavier talleisim that do not sit comfortably in a regular bag. Men who wear a large wool tallis usually know already that they need the extra large; for everyone else the 14 x 14 is the size that works.
Heavier work suits a bag bought for a milestone. It is a common choice for a chosson, and for bar mitzvah presents where the bag is meant to be kept for good.
