Velvet Tallis & Tefillin Bag in Black, Grey or White Fur #V4017

Three finishes are offered on design #V4017, and each changes the bag substantially. Black velvet is the traditional weekday choice. Grey velvet is quieter and softer under the embroidery, an option for a man who does not want black. White fur with white crushed velvet is the Shabbos and Yom Tov version — the crushed velvet has a broken, moving grain to it, and the white fur finishes the edge.

All three come in bar mitzvah size at 10.5" x 10", large talis size at 14" x 14" and extra large at 16" x 16". The smallest holds tefillin alone; the two larger sizes hold tallis and tefillin together, with the 16x16 giving the extra room a heavy tallis wants.

A white bag is the one many men keep separately for Shabbos, Yom Tov and the Yomim Noraim, while the black stays in daily use. If that is the plan, taking the same design number twice in two finishes gives you a matched pair rather than two unrelated bags.
