Velvet Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Custom Velvet Design #V6005

#V6005 is a custom velvet design carrying Malchut's embroidery on their heaviest velvet. In this collection the velvet is chosen first and the embroidery is designed to suit it, which is why the thread never looks stranded on the surface the way it can on a thinner ground fabric.

Bar mitzvah at 10.5" x 10", large talis at 14" x 14" and extra large at 16" x 16" are the three options. The first is a tefillin bag. The second holds tallis and tefillin and is what most men use. The third is for a full-size tallis gadol, and it is also the size to take if the bag will be handled by someone in a hurry every morning, since a little extra room makes a real difference.

Bags at this level are usually bought as a set piece — the tallis, the tefillin, the bag, and often a matching bencher or siddur cover ordered later. Starting from a design number in the custom line leaves that option open.
