Four Corner Leaf Velvet with Leather Tallis & Tefillin Bag #470L

The 470L is the leather version of the leaf and centre strip design. The same four corner leaf motifs and the same straight embroidered strip run down the face, but leather is worked in alongside the velvet, which changes both how the bag looks and how it wears. Leather panelling holds an edge, resists scuffing at the corners, and gives the bag a firmer feel in the hand.

It is made in four sizes: the 8.5" x 9.5" tefillin bag without stones, the 10" x 10.5" bar mitzvah size, the 14" x 14" large talis bag and the 16" x 16" extra large. The two larger sizes take a tallis with tefillin; the two smaller are tefillin bags.

If the bag is going to a bochur or to a man who carries it in a briefcase or leaves it in the car, the leather version is the more practical of the two. Velvet marks where it rubs; leather takes the same handling and simply darkens.
